Terms of use
Version of 29 October 2026
These terms are the contract between you and us when you use Klips. "We" and "us" mean Felix Holtkamp (whaamkabaam), who runs Klips. "You" means the person who uses Klips. Please read them before you create your account. You can save or print this page at any time.

Klips is run by one person as a sole trader. Our imprint has more details.
Klips is an independent service. It is not made, endorsed or approved by Riot Games or by Twitch (see Riot Games and Twitch).
What Klips does
- You connect your Riot ID to your Klips account. Klips finds the Valorant matches you played with it, from your match history on tracker.gg.
- For a check you start, Klips looks up the other nine players, finds out which of them streamed that match on Twitch and saved the stream, and finds your kills and deaths in those saved streams, along with your teammates' reactions. Each clip opens in Twitch's own player at your play.
- Klips gets match data from tracker.gg and stream data from Twitch.
- Klips works only after a match. It shows a streamer's channel and stream only once that stream has ended. Nothing in Klips works inside the game, in a lobby or during a match.
- Klips sends no notifications on any plan. Your clips are in your library when you open Klips.
What Klips can't promise
Klips can only find what someone streamed and saved. So we can't promise that:
- anyone in your match streamed it, or that a stream shows your play;
- Klips finds every one of your plays, or that each clip starts at exactly the right second;
- a saved stream is still there when you open it. Streamers and Twitch delete videos, and some videos are for a channel's subscribers only;
- tracker.gg, Twitch and Riot Games let Klips keep working. Each of them can stop Klips at any time, and Klips can't work without them.
We maintain Klips and fix faults. While we do, Klips can be unavailable for a while. None of this limits your rights if Klips doesn't work as these terms describe (see If Klips doesn't work as described).
Who can use Klips
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- If you are under 18, you need the agreement of a parent or guardian to use Klips.
- Plus is for people aged 18 and over. If you are 16 or 17, a parent or guardian can buy Plus for you.
- An account is for one person only. You may have one account.
Your account and how the contract comes about
- You sign up with an invite link from a friend who uses Klips: you open it and enter your email address, and Clerk emails you a sign-up link. You sign in at app.klips.live with your email address, and Clerk sends you a new code each time. Clerk runs sign-up and sign-in for us.
- Klips then asks you to confirm that you are 16 or older and to accept these terms. The same screen links our privacy policy. Until you press "Continue", you can change your entries or stop by closing the page. When you press "Continue", the contract for Klips Free comes about between you and us. We store which version of these terms you accepted, and when.
- Next you connect one Riot ID and confirm that it is your own. An account has one Riot ID at a time. You can change it on your account page, at most once every 7 days. Checks you made with your old Riot ID then no longer open. Klips doesn't check with Riot Games that a Riot ID is yours, so connecting only your own is your duty. A Riot ID that is already connected to another account, or that its owner had removed from Klips, can't be connected.
- Klips is invite-only for now. Once Klips has finished checking one of your matches, you can invite friends with personal invite links. Your account page shows how many you have. Each link signs up one person, and you can cancel a link nobody has used. If someone who joined with your link breaks these terms, we can cancel your unused links.
- Keep your email account safe, because your sign-in codes go there. If you think someone else got into your Klips account, sign out your other devices under "Manage sign-in" on your account page, and tell us.
- You can delete your account at any time on your account page. That ends this contract. What happens to your data is in our privacy policy.
Klips Free
- Free costs nothing.
- You start checks yourself. A check is Klips going through one match for your clips. You can start up to 5 checks in any 7 days, and one check at a time. Each check you start counts, also one that finds no clips, one that stops because the match started more than 60 days ago, and one that stops because tracker.gg or Twitch didn't answer.
- To start a check, you pick one of your matches in "Find my clips" or paste the match's tracker.gg link. Klips opens only matches that its records show you played with your Riot ID, and only matches that started in the last 60 days.
- "Find my clips" looks up your newest matches on tracker.gg and lists them. You can ask for this up to 5 times in any 24 hours, with at least 15 minutes in between.
- Klips also limits how many checks one internet connection can start in a day, to stop abuse.
- Each check looks in the saved streams of all nine other players of the match.
- We delete a check and its clips 60 days after you started it, or earlier when we delete the match's data, which we keep for 60 days after we first stored it.
If we lower these limits, Changes to Klips and to these terms applies.
Klips Plus
Plus is not on sale yet. This section applies from the day it is. Until then your account page says that Plus opens soon.
- What Plus does. Klips checks the matches of your Riot ID on its own, without you starting checks: every match in a game mode with rounds, such as Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, Premier and Spike Rush. It doesn't check modes without rounds, such as Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. Klips looks for your new matches as often as every 10 minutes during the 4 hours after your last match ended, and as often as every hour after that. It looks at game modes you haven't played in the last 30 days as often as every 6 hours. Klips has daily limits on its requests to tracker.gg and on its video checks, shared by everyone who uses Plus, and Twitch limits how fast Klips may ask. When those limits are reached, or tracker.gg or Twitch slow Klips down, a check comes later.
- Checks you start yourself. With Plus you can also start up to 20 checks yourself in any 24 hours, up to 3 at a time.
- What you pay for. You pay for the automatic checking and the higher limits. An automatic check looks in the saved streams of the players on the other team who you killed or who killed you. A check you start yourself, on Free or on Plus, looks at all nine other players, your teammates included. Watching is always free in Twitch's player.
- Price. EUR 6.99 a month, VAT included. If FastSpring's checkout shows you the price in another currency, the price shown in the checkout is the one you pay. FastSpring charges you at the start of each month of Plus.
- Term. Plus runs from month to month, counted from the day you buy it, until you or we end it. There is no minimum term and no yearly plan.
- Price changes. The price of your Plus changes only with your agreement. We tell you about a new price by email at least 30 days before it is to apply. If you don't agree, you keep paying the old price until you or we end Plus (see Ending the contract).
Buying Plus through FastSpring
- Two contracts. When you buy Plus, you make two contracts. You buy Plus from FastSpring, our reseller and merchant of record, under FastSpring's terms of sale (https://fastspring.com/legal/terms-sale/). For the payment, the VAT, the invoice and refunds, FastSpring is your seller. It is the FastSpring company named in your checkout and your order email. Your use of Klips, Free and Plus, is a contract with us under these terms. When you withdraw from Plus or cancel it, your purchase from FastSpring and your Plus end together, and your account goes on as Free (see Your right to withdraw and Cancelling Plus).
- The order. On your account page you press "Get Plus". FastSpring's checkout opens in a window over the page. There you enter your details and choose how to pay. Before you order, the checkout shows the price, that Plus renews every month, and your details, and you can correct them. You order with FastSpring's order button. FastSpring's terms of sale say when your purchase is concluded, and FastSpring confirms your order by email. Plus starts as soon as FastSpring tells us your payment went through, and your account page then shows it.
- Your rights. Whatever FastSpring's terms say, you keep your rights as a consumer under the law, and the rights these terms give you.
Cancelling Plus
- You can cancel Plus at any time. It then ends at the end of the month you have paid for, and FastSpring doesn't charge you again.
- How. With the cancel button on your account page. You can also cancel by email to us (see our contact page), or on FastSpring's account page for your order. An email is always enough.
- We confirm your cancellation by email, with the date your Plus ends.
- If you delete your account while you have Plus, Plus ends at once with your account and FastSpring doesn't charge you again. You don't get money back for the rest of the month, unless you also withdraw within the 14 days (see Your right to withdraw). To keep Plus until the end of your paid month, cancel Plus first and delete your account after that.
Your right to withdraw
If you buy Plus as a consumer, you can change your mind within 14 days and get all your money back. Plus is a digital service: a service that gives you access to data in digital form (§ 327(2) BGB). For a digital service the right to withdraw follows the rules for services. Starting to use Plus doesn't end it: the right runs for the full 14 days, because a monthly subscription is never fully provided within them.
If you withdraw, you get back everything you paid. You owe nothing for the days you already used Plus.
You can send your withdrawal to us or to FastSpring. Either is enough, and it ends both your purchase from FastSpring and your Plus. FastSpring's checkout and emails also tell you how to withdraw from your purchase with FastSpring. Whichever way you use, you get back the full price.
Withdrawal information
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Felix Holtkamp (whaamkabaam), Donaustraße 44, 12043 Berlin, Germany, email: hi@whaamkabaam.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online on your account page at https://app.klips.live/account, with the button "Withdraw from contract". If you use this online feature, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
FastSpring holds your payment, so FastSpring makes the refund. We instruct it to and make sure you get it.

Rules for using Klips
- Connect only your own Riot ID, and check only your own matches.
- Don't use Klips to find, watch or follow a streamer during a match (stream sniping).
- Don't pass on or publish which Riot ID a streamer played on, as you see it in Klips.
- Don't use Klips to harass, threaten or expose anyone, streamer or player.
- Don't share your account, and don't create more than one account.
- Don't scrape, copy or automate Klips, don't get around its limits or its security, and don't attack or overload it.
- Don't use Klips for anything illegal.
- Follow Riot Games' terms in the game and Twitch's terms on Twitch.
If you break these rules, we can stop a check, pause your account or end your contract (see Ending the contract). We tell you by email what we did and why, with the facts, the rule it rests on and how you can challenge it, unless the law forbids it (Art. 17 of the Digital Services Act). A person makes these decisions; Klips makes none of them automatically. You can challenge a decision by replying to us, and we look at the matter again. You can also go to court. A pause lasts only as long as we need to clear the matter up. If it turns out you didn't break these rules, you get back what you paid for the paused days.
The clips and the streamers' rights
- Clips play in Twitch's own player, from the streamer's saved video. Klips doesn't download or store anyone's stream.
- The stream belongs to the streamer. The game in it belongs to Riot Games. Using Klips gives you no rights to either.
- You can share the Twitch link to a moment. You can make a clip with Twitch's own Clip button, under Twitch's rules.
- Don't download or re-upload someone's stream, and don't use it in your own videos or to promote anything, unless the streamer agrees.
- When you watch on Twitch, Twitch's terms apply. Twitch shows its own ads in its player, and Klips doesn't hide or skip them.
If Klips doesn't work as described
If Klips doesn't work as these terms describe, you have the rights that German law gives consumers for digital products (§§ 327 to 327u BGB). For example, you can ask us to fix the fault, and for Plus you can also pay less or end the contract. We provide the updates Klips needs to work as these terms describe and to stay secure (§ 327f BGB), for as long as you use it. Tell us about a fault at hi@whaamkabaam.com.
Liability
- We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and where we have given a guarantee.
- For slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an essential duty: a duty that the purpose of the contract depends on and that you may rely on. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that was typical and foreseeable when the contract was made.
- Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence.
- These limits also apply to the people who work for us.
- These limits don't apply to claims under the GDPR or to anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
Changes to Klips and to these terms
Changes to Klips. We may change Klips for a good reason: when Twitch, tracker.gg or Riot Games change their services, terms or access; when the law, a court or an authority requires it; for security; to stop abuse; or to add or improve features. A change costs you nothing extra. If a change makes Klips harder for you to reach or to use in more than a minor way, we tell you by email at least 30 days ahead, with what changes, when, and your right to end the contract. You can then end your contract free of charge within 30 days after our email or after the change, whichever is later (§ 327r BGB).
Changes to these terms. We tell you about new terms by email at least 30 days before they are to apply. New terms apply to you only once you accept them. If you don't accept them, the old terms keep applying until you or we end the contract as described below.
Ending the contract
- Free. You can end it at any time by deleting your account. We can end it with two weeks' notice by email.
- Plus. You can cancel at any time (see Cancelling Plus). We can end your Plus with one month's notice by email, to the end of a paid month. Whenever we end your Plus, for whatever reason, we also end your FastSpring subscription, so you are not charged again.
- Good cause. Either of us can end the contract at once for good cause (§ 314 BGB). For us, good cause includes a serious or repeated breach of the rules. Where the law requires it, we warn you first.
- If Klips has to stop. If a service Klips depends on (Twitch, tracker.gg, Riot Games) shuts Klips out, or the law forces us to stop, we change or end Klips or Plus as far as needed. We tell you as early as we can. If you paid for Plus ahead, you get back the part you can no longer use; FastSpring pays it on our instruction.
- After the end. We delete your data as our privacy policy says.
Law, courts, language and the contract text
- German law applies. If you are a consumer and live in another country, you keep the protection that the mandatory consumer law of that country gives you.
- If you are a consumer living in the EU, you can sue us in the courts where you live or in Germany, and we can sue you only in the courts where you live.
- We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
- The contract language is English.
- We store which version of these terms you accepted and when. This page always shows the current version. You can save or print it at any time, and we send you the version you accepted by email on request. When you buy Plus, we email you these terms and the withdrawal information with the model form.
- You can send us any notice by email. We send notices to the email address of your account. We can also show them in the app in addition.
